If you have ever wondered what it might be like to paddle an Olympic, racing kayak or kneeling Canoe, or to Play Canoe Polo, or paddle a Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP), or perhaps a more recreational kayak, come along to Molonglo Reach On Saturday 18th January, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Learn to Paddle
If you’re new to paddling the Burley Griffin Canoe Club holds several 'Taste of Paddling' sessions, for non-members who would like to try it out. Bookings are essential and sessions cost $120pp.

Participants will be able to try out a variety of boats, learn about equipment, boat handling, entry and exit techniques, basic paddling techniques and basic capsize procedures. Participants are expected to be able to swim 50m. The sessions are held on the Molonglo River in calm conditions close to shore.
Any incidents or accidents involving members or equipment should be reported using the BGCC Incident Report on-line form.
